Welcome to the HVU Mountain Bike Team
We are the Huron Valley United Race Team. Our group is a scholastic and composite team, operating under MISCA (Michigan Scholastic Cycling Association). Since 2016 we have invited students grades K-12, of all abilities, from across the Huron Valley school district to join us as one united team, discovering and growing the sport of mountain biking.
Our team is inclusive. We do not have tryouts; everyone gets to ride every minute no matter his/her ability or skill level. As a team, we work together to develop technical skills and improve student fitness through weekly practices on our local trails. These rides are fun, build confidence, and prepare the team to race in the all-youth, 6-race series hosted by the Michigan Scholastic Cycling Association (MiSCA) in the fall.

Read and agree to the code of conduct
Email coach Darin to receive the registration code for our team.
Register with the team code through
the MISCA website / sign up for races.
Sign up for practice schedule & practice rsvps
Download the Band App to access the team practice schedule, to RSVP for the team practices, and to stay up to date with the latest communications regarding practice and inclement weather.
Riding as a Senior?
You can earn a varsity letter riding with the team!
There are two pathways for high school students interested in earning a varsity letter to do so while riding their mountain bike with HVUR.
The first is a traditional pathway for students who are only riding with the Huron Valley United Race Team.
The second is a performance-based, alternative for those students who are riding with an additional bike group and or who have displayed athletic excellence in the varsity race categories at MISCA race events. Both pathways have attendance, trail maintenance, and race participation requirements to achieve varsity status.
